Everyone likes to pamper their furry friends on occasion so we also carry a selection of pet toys and treats.

After checking in at the reception desk, one of our veterinary assistants will escort you and your pet to one of our nine exam rooms. The assistant notes important information about your pet's health for the veterinary doctor, who will then examine your pet and talk with you about your pet's health care needs.

Keith, one of our certified veterinary technicians is viewing a specimen under the microscope. To his left are two of our blood analysis machines and to his right is our CBC (complete blood count) machine. These machines allow us to get vital diagnostic blood tests completed quickly and accurately. We also use the services of outside labs, such as Marshfield Laboratory and Animal Health Diagnostic Lab.

One of our veterinary assistants is viewing information on the computer in the pharmacy. The pharmacy is where the doctors, technicians and assistants fill prescriptions for your pet. Most medications needed to properly treat and care for your pet's health are readily available in our on-site-pharmacy.

  • Treatment

The treatment area is usually one of the busiest areas of the hospital. If your pet needs a nail trim, fluid therapy or blood drawn this is where it is done. Surgery patients have their pre-surgical preparations done in this area as well.

  • Surgery

    /Images/ViewImage.aspx?maxHeight=300&maxWidth=500&Id=19940

This room is dedicated to surgery, providing a sterile environment. The surgery suite consists of two stainless steel operating tables. Above each table is a special surgical light. Behind the table is our vital signs monitor. When a pet has surgery it is hooked up to this machine to monitor the pets heart rate, body temperature, and blood oxygen level. The machine to the left of the vital signs monitor provides general anesthesia gases to our patients. We use Isoflurane, one of the safest gas anesthesias available today. The large green tanks in the corner contain oxygen. Not pictured is the circulating water blanket(circulates warm water). The blanket is placed on the operating table under the pet. This helps to maintain the pet's body temperature during surgery. In addition to all these features, your pet is constantly monitored by a licensed, certified veterinary nurse and/or veterinary assistant while it is under anesthesia and through the recovery period.

  • Radiology

    /Images/ViewImage.aspx?maxHeight=300&maxWidth=500&Id=19953

Radiology is a very important diagnostic tool. In some cases, your pet's doctor will need to take x-rays to properly diagnose problems that involve limping, vomiting, dental trouble, coughing, urinary problems, difficulty breathing, heart conditions, and bowel abnormalities just to name a few.
